The restaurant from chef John Tesar is offering classics such as omelets and French toast as well as brunch cocktails on Saturdays and Sundays.

A few options available include the pork belly Benedict, soufflé French toast, bagels and house-cured smoked lox, and homemade biscuits and gravy.

More traditional steakhouse dishes including steak frites, petite filet and a 10-ounce wet aged ribeye are also served during brunch.

Tesar opened Knife at The Highland hotel in 2014, and there’s now a location in Plano, though brunch is not available at the Plano location. Last year, Tesar won a Michelin star for his Orlando restaurant Knife & Spoon.

When we profiled him in 2007, he told us that some of his favorite restaurants in our neighborhood were The Grape, Terilli’s and York Street.

Knife is serving brunch 11 a.m.-2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday at The Highland, 5300 E. Mockingbird Lane.
