A pair of entrepreneurs have leased the Blarney Stone, which closed about two years ago, and have plans to repoen the place pretty much as it was. Mel Fasang and Chris Heckler are negotiating with investors to reopen the Lower Greenville pub, and they won’t have a timeline until their funding is set.

"It was a really cool bar, and I wanted to bring it back," Fasang said. "I know a lot of people who used to hang out there."

Fasang used to manage Club Torch, which Heckler owned. Heckler recently sold that club, and the new owner plans to open it under another name.
