Black Forest Coffee closed at Half Price Books.
May 28 was the last day for the coffee shop, which had been open since 1999 inside the bookstore chain’s flagship location; Half Price Books celebrated its 50-year anniversary in 2022.
“Thanks for the memories,” the store wrote in a note posted on the window.
Black Forest Coffee was operated by the Winnubsts, the same family that owns nearby Henk’s European Deli & Black Forest Bakery, located at 5811 Blackwell St.
The coffee shop served drinks made with Oak Cliff Coffee and Full City Rooster along with pastries from Black Forest Bakery and sandwiches.
