It all started with Bike Friendly Oak Cliff, a group of neighbors who found bicyclists in Dallas could sometimes draw hostility from motorists. These informal bicycle clubs have grown to include Bike Friendly Richardson, North Dallas, Knox-Henderson and now, Bike Friendly Lakewood.
They’re following the model of Bike Friendly Oak Cliff and planning to organize group rides and solicit discounts from retailers for people who arrive by bike.
