Big Boy was broken.

But now he’s back.

Isett shared a photo of the statue on Facebook, and based on the comments, neighbors are excited.

“Love him!!” Sharon Baker Tabbert says.

“OMG! We’ve missed him! Welcome back Big Guy!” Jeff Sauers says.

“I drive by so often and have kept commenting to myself, ‘What happened to ‘my’ Big Boy,” Boo Powell says.

Here’s a bit of the back story. Isett, who owns White Rock Landscaping, found the 7-foot-tall statue in 2013 while working on a job in North Dallas. It was just collecting dust. Isett bought it and brought it back to his home at Abrams and Trammel.

Even before Isett finished installing the statue, of Kip’s restaurant fame, people stopped to look. And within about a year, more than 1,000 people were slowing down or stopping to get a closer look or take photos, Isett told The Advocate in 2014.

City Code inspectors got involved and asked Isett to move Big Boy away from the street because of potential traffic hazards.

Over the years, Isett has placed many figures on his property as yard art: French Fry Man, a 10-foot-tall velociraptor and even a giant gorilla.
