At a crime watch meeting Tuesday night, we were reminded of a cat burglar who has been hitting homes in Lakewood for about three years.
The burglar only breaks into homes when the residents are out of town. He or she usually unscrews porch light bulbs and has been known to deactivate alarm systems.
The burglar has been caught on video several times, but there’s never been a good enough picture to tell what race the person is, or even whether the burglar is male or female. All police can tell is that the burglar is 5-foot-4.
Be aware of dark porch lights, and if you go out of town, it might be a good idea to get a house sitter.
