Yesterday the Morning News (behind the paywall) reported the sale of Belle Nora mansion on White Rock Lake and Karen Eubank here has the whole reality TV-worthy story behind the sale. Teaser: it includes a 16th birthday and a ginormous pink bow.
Yes, I am afraid it’s true. Businessman Dave Anderson, who owns Zoo Music on Garland Road, bought the White Rock Lake manor for his daughter, Kevyn Brooke, a student at Bishop Lynch High School, as a 16th birthday gift. He even had McShan Florist put a big pink bow on the thing.
The story is incredibly cool. Admittedly, a tearjerker.
Kevyn, who happens to be my daughter’s friend, says she will appear on Good Morning America later this week. We’ll keep an eye out.
