A man was shot and killed after assaulting another man on Highland Road near Ferguson Road and I-30 in East Dallas, according to Dallas Police.
At 2:30 p.m. police responded to a 28-year-old man who was shot and killed by the homeowner after attempting to enter the shooter’s apartment. Witnesses confirmed the homeowner’s description of events. The homeowner, a 54-year-old man, and other witnesses called 911 after the shooting.
The homeowner was interviewed and released, pending a grand jury referral. Police did not release either man’s name.
