The White Rock Lake Conservancy will host the Celebration White Rock 5k/10k on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. The race will run along the White Rock Trail and finish with a post-race party at Winfrey Point with food from Hypnotic Donuts, El Vecino, The Lot and more. Register here.

Head to the Dallas Arboretum this Thursday for a Cool Thursday concert with Emerald City, Dallas’ favorite party band. Tickets range from $10-$30.

This Saturday, the Lowest Greenville Collective is hosting “Experience Lower Greenville,” featuring the best of the busy strip. From 11 a.m. on, there will be food specials, classes, and activities, including build your own nachos or toast, tequila tastings, a cocktail seminar, and even print your own t-shirt. Good Local Markets will start celebrating Earth Day a couple weeks early on Saturday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the White Rock Farmers Market, 9150 Garland Road, where participants can tour tiny houses from Indigo River Tiny Homes. The Texas Tree Foundation will have free native pecan trees to plant for those who purchase $50 worth of tokens or more at the market.

Little Forest Hills will keep it funky by hosting a vintage Boho flea market this Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 8919 Eustis Ave.

The Dallas Running Club will be hosting the Tal Morrison Classic 15k, 5k and 1 mile race this Saturday, and awarding the The Tal Morrison Scholarship to four high school students after the race. The run kicks off at Winfrey Point on Saturday at 8 a.m. Registration is $15 for non-members.

Head to J.L. Long Middle School to see their theater department’s performance of “East of the Sun” this Thursday-Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The event is free, but donations can be made to the J.L. Long Theater booster club.
