Backyard chickens are so popular in East Dallas that a group of egg lovers is putting together a home tour called "A Peep at the Coops" on April 18.
The free, self-guided urban chicken coop tour will include insight into raising chickens and other practices such as beekeeping, composting and harvesting rainwater.
A website has been set up for the tour, and more information is expected soon.
