Apothecary, the bar on Greenville Avenue, wants to increase its opening hours.
The bar has applied for a specific use permit for a late-hours establishment limited to a restaurant without drive-in or drive-thru service.
Currently, Apothecary stays open until midnight Tuesday-Sunday. The property is located in PD 842, the Lower Greenville Avenue Special Provision District, with a demolition delay overlay.
Conditions have been proposed to make sure the request is compatible with surrounding uses. One of these conditions is limiting the floor area to 1,290 square feet.
The application is still in review. No action has been taken by the City Plan Commission or the City Council.
Nearby establishments such as The Old Crow and Greenville Avenue Pizza Company are open past midnight.
