Police have found the body of a 28-year-old Grand Prairie man in White Rock Lake, nearly two weeks after he and his girlfriend were reported missing.
The Dallas Police Department Underwater Recovery Team discovered Alfonso Hernandez’s body Sunday morning, according to CBS DFW. An autopsy was scheduled to determine cause of death.
His girlfriend, 26-year-old Weltzin Garcia Mireles, has not yet been found. Texas Game Wardens and the dive team resumed its search for Mireles on Monday, NBC5 reported.
Her family asked followers to pray for the Hernandez family Sunday on the Facebook page Help Us Find Weltzin.
The couple has two children who were reunited with Mireles’ twin sister, Atziry Garcia Mireles, Sunday evening. They were placed in foster care during the search.
