Gov. Rick Perry isn’t the only Texas politician calling Medicare a “ponzi scheme”. U.S. Rep. Jeb Hensarling addressed the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce last week, and he didn’t go as far as the governor, who called Medicare a ponzi scheme in his book, Fed Up!
Hensarling says that Medicare and Social Security are unsustainable.
“The programs that have been a benefit and a comfort to my parents and grandparents, if we don’t reform, modernize and save, they will morph into a cruel ponzi scheme for my 9-year-old daughter and my 7-year-old son,” Hensarling says.
