“Dust is flying, and the concrete is all torn up,” says managing partner Mariel Street, but in a couple weeks, Street and her crew will start their end of the work.

“I’m thinking it’ll start to look like Liberty Burger in three or four weeks,” she says.

Street says Liberty Burger should open sometime around the first of November.

Right now the only thing that’s a little behind is the construction on the breezeway, she says. Also, Street is “still waiting on some of the details” for the back patio.

Lincoln wants Liberty Burger to open first, so they can assess traffic flow before they give Street the OK on the patio.

If Street gets the green light, Liberty Burger will supply and maintain tables and chairs in the back.

As it is, when the joint first opens, they plan to serve beer and burgers in the breezeway, Street says, and they plan to deck it out with planters and such.

“It’ll be a nice entryway into what we hope will soon be a back patio, but we’re going to start there,” she says.
