It’s a winter wonderland around Dallas. Holiday pop-ups for festive cocktails, quirky shops to wear ugly Christmas sweaters and seasonal events are spreading cheer across the neighborhood.

Whether you’re in search of a holiday experience with family or friends, we’ve accumulated some places to help you plan your festive activities this month.

Holiday House:

1914 Greenville Ave

Leela’s Wine Bar has transformed into a winter wonderland for an immersive festive experience with limited-time holiday cocktails, Instagrammable decor and Christmas classics playing behind the bar, running from Nov. 15 to Jan. 1 on Lowest Greenville.

A variety of holiday cocktails will be on the drink menu, some including Polar Expresso, Drink Up Grinches, and Down the Chimney.

The inside of the wine bar is garnished in white and silver decor with pops of red, ceilings accessorized with snowflakes, ornaments, and lights to mimic snowfall.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Shop:

2600 Main St

Punchbowl Social in Deep Ellum is celebrating Jeremy Turner’s vision by bringing back The Ugly Christmas Sweater Shop for the first time since 2019. The pop-up begins Dec. 1 and will run until Dec. 24.

Ugly sweater lovers are invited to show off their best sweater at a holiday mixer on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

As part of the festivities, Punch Bowl Social will feature holiday drink specials throughout the month. Punch Bowl will also be collecting gifts for Toys for Tots, inviting guests to contribute to spreading joy to children in need during the holiday season.

Holiday at the Arboretum:

This year, Holiday at the Arboretum presents three large-scale exhibits, a Million Lights and an Indoor Display, hosted by Reliant. The festival runs from Nov. 9 to Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The exhibit includes The Christmas Village, The 12 Days of Christmas, and a 50-foot-tall musical tree.

Tickets for the garden are required for entry and range from $13 to $35. Guests are encouraged to reserve preferred dates in advance.

Ballet North Texas’ – The Nutcracker:

A holiday classic, The Nutcracker will be performed by Ballet North Texas at the Moody Performance Hall. The Nutcracker shares the story of a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve. The young girl travels through a magical land meeting various characters who perform for her.

The performance of The Nutcracker is a staple of ballet and has become increasingly popular worldwide. Various professional ballet companies in almost every city and country perform the show, bringing in hundreds of dancers to perform.
