Avoid cooking tonight, and instead, help a family in need by eating at a neighborhood restaurant that’s donating proceeds from the meal to a local nonprofit.
The Givingmas nonprofit helps one or two families for a year by providing necessities, family fun activities and access to other resources. The only requirement is that at least one family member is employed but still needs help making ends meet.
Participating restaurants for “A Day of Givingmas” are:

- Barley House
- The Whistling Pig
- The Cock & Bull
- The Loon Bar & Grill
- Slater’s 50/50
- Goldrush Cafe
A portion of the sales will be donated to Givingmas. Anyone who makes a $50 donation at a sponsor location will receive a $10 gift certificate, courtesy of Lakewood Medallion Discount Liquor.
A Givingmas ambassador will be at each site to answer questions, accept donations or provide information about sponsoring an upcoming event.
