For the April Advocate magazine I wrote a story about the mysterious stained glass windows at Munger Place United Methodist Church. Our photographer, Can “Turk” Turkyilmaz and I visited the home of Terri Raith who tipped us off to the whole story about who REALLY designed the historic windows. She lives in “The Shack”, a historic Junius Heights home that once belonged to stained glass artist Roger McIntosh. She showed us some original drawings which she located in her attic — seeing the sketches of the apostles was for me even more mystical than seeing the magnificent windows themselves. See for yourself in the video following the jump.
While I was working on the window story I also learned some bittersweet news about concerning the closing, remodel and eventual reopening of the Munger Place Church, which you can read about here.
