St. Thomas Aquinas comes in second on the list of area schools receiving funds from shoppers using their Target Visa credit cards at Skillman and Abrams’ Super Target.
The retailer’s Take Charge of Education program allows cardholders to donate 1 percent of all purchases to the school of their choice. St. Thomas is sandwiched between leader Lake Highlands High School and third-place holder Highland Park High School. Pretty good, considering that St. Thomas has 125 cardholders designating funds, compared to 221 LHHS supporters and 119 Highland Park supporters.
