We don’t have a lot of numbers to parse, and quite a few local retailers were closed today, but the ones I did talk to said business was very, very good on Friday.
"Pretty awesome, maybe even busier than last year," says Camille Chavana, the manager at Buffalo Exchange at McCommas and Greenville, where customers bought and sold winter clothing, jackets and sweaters.
At Dallasan Hallmark in Casa Linda, Laurie Rowley reports that business was better than expected and better than last year. She says customers bought mostly seasonal items, stocking up for the holidays.
