The Easy Slider owners are planning on opening a new concept next week called In Good Company at their stall in The Exchange Food Hall in Downtown.
The menu is expected to feature “lunch counter classics.” Here are a few of the offerings:
- Fried Chicken Ceasar Wrap
- Pretzel Dog
- Reuben on a Roll
- Ribeye Cheesesteak
And of course, the menu will include three burgers, like The Roadside, which is a tribute to Easy Slider’s longtime fan favorite BBQ sauced slider.
“The owners are very big sandwich buffs,” Easy Slider Marketing Manager Tamara Everheart said. “Sandwiches are all of our favorite food. You can make anything into a sandwich, and we love that about it. So we went the deli sandwich-route. … We will be the burger people still, but they will be full size burgers.”
While a side of tater tots has been an Easy Slider staple for a while, In Good Company will offer crinkle-cut fries.
As the name suggests, In Good Company is meant to be a place to meet your friends for visit with “good things, good food, good vibes, good people,” Everheart said. The new eatery was created out of a desire to provide something new.
“We know we’ve been in Exchange Hall for three previous years, and so we kind of know the clientele and what people enjoy, and we kind of wanted to just go off that and give the people what they want in a new form,” Everheart said. “They still have Easy Slider, just not in that location. So we’re hoping that they’ll still love our Easy Slider on East Side.”
Earlier this year, Easy Slider opened a brick and mortar restaurant near Deep Ellum at 3905 East Side Ave. The space was originally used as headquarters for Easy Slider’s food trucks and offices, but the owners, both of whom have been East Dallas residents, decided to open it up as a dine-in space for patrons.
“It’s Easy Slider, but it’s on East Side Avenue (with the) same menu, but we do do pop-ups and steak night and Italian disco, just more fun things, venturing out from sliders along with full-size burgers and smash burgers,” Everheart said.
In Good Company will be open at The Exchange Food Hall in Downtown Dallas at 211 S. Akard St. daily starting at 11 a.m.
