Classical music lovers, rejoice! The Summer Classical Music Series is returning to Mockingbird Station in June.
Audience members of all ages are welcome to attend these free live music events. The series will take place 7:30-8:30 p.m. every Saturday in June on the second level of the outdoor amphitheater outside Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station, according to a press release.
The themes of each concert are listed below:
- June 7: A Bridgerton Patio Playlist! – features a string quartet playing fan-favorite hits from the Bridgerton TV series. Costumes are welcomed, and free food will be provided by The Finch.
- June 14: It’s A Grand Old Flag! — In honor of Flag Day, vocalist Allison Stanford and the Belmark Trio will perform patriotic favorites and jazz standards. Free popcorn and drinks will be provided by Angelika Film Center.
- June 21: Classical Summer Solstice Sampler — a genre-bending program with instrumentalists and vocalists performing radiant short works. Again, free popcorn and drinks will be provided by Angelika Film Center.
- June 28: A Little Night Music — featuring the tunes of Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi and more light classical favorites. Pure Milk and Honey will have a cart onsite and provide ice cream.
Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to sit on because seating tends to fill up fast, according to the event’s website.
