Culpepper Cattle Co., an East-Texas-inspired restaurant that originated in Rockwall, Texas will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

In 1992, the original Culpepper Steakhouse opened in Rockwall by Michael “Dobber” Stephenson and quickly gained popularity. Local country music artists often played at the restaurant including sightings from Waylon Jennings and Randy Travis. After closing in 2023, UNCO came in to revive the restaurant for its third installment – Culpepper Cattle Co., opening in Deep Ellum.

The new Dallas restaurant features Tex-Mex dishes, prime steaks and Texas home-style cooking. The menu was created with consulting chef Danyele McPherson, ensuring they kept the classic Culpepper menu while introducing new items.

“While developing the concept we originally planned for this space, ‘Let’s Ask Keith’, a restaurant devoted to my upbringing in the fields of East Texas; we were lucky enough to purchase an iconic restaurant, Culpepper Cattle Co. that represents the same ideal. It made more sense for us to open a second location in a space with as much heart and soul as the first,” UNCO Co-CEO Elias Pope said. “The same spirit that makes the original Culpepper Cattle Co. iconic will be recognizable in a new way at Continental Gin Building. The building is on the National Registry of Historic Spaces, so our design and build were scrutinized for the better part of last year to provide a space that pays homage to the spirit of the building itself.”

The menu ranges from enchiladas, calamari steak fingers, steak fajita cobb salad, chicken fried lobster, baked potato and steakhouse burger.

The 5,500 square foot dining room with seating for 160, offers a classic design featuring rich green Naugahyde, dark walnut to amplify the exposed brick, original wood beams wood flooring, and pops of neon.

The choice of materials is just as important as the menu itself, as it sets the tone for comfort, durability, and style. From the seating wrapped in deep green Naugahyde to the strategically placed neon highlights, every detail contributes to an immersive experience that reflects both tradition and innovation.

The flooring, in particular, is a critical component, not just for its aesthetic appeal but also for its ability to withstand the demands of a busy dining space while maintaining its timeless allure.

This balance of durability and elegance is why many establishments opt for flooring solutions that offer both strength and style. One of the most versatile choices in today’s market is hybrid flooring, which combines the best qualities of laminate and vinyl for a surface that is both resilient and visually appealing.

In a high-traffic environment like a restaurant, where spills and heavy foot traffic are daily occurrences, this type of flooring provides the perfect blend of waterproof protection and authentic wood-like beauty.

The emphasis on combining durability with style in such a bustling and character-rich environment perfectly aligns with what many modern spaces require, whether commercial or residential. Flooring that can stand up to constant use while maintaining an inviting and elegant look is essential, and this is where trusted experts come into play.

A london flooring company specializing in resilient yet sophisticated options offers a range of materials that meet these demands, including hybrid flooring, luxury vinyl, and engineered wood. These solutions not only deliver the strength needed to endure heavy foot traffic and occasional spills but also provide the aesthetic warmth and texture that elevate any interior design.

It’s a choice that enhances both function and design, ensuring that every step taken inside the restaurant contributes to an experience as thoughtfully curated as the menu itself.

For commercial spaces that demand both resilience and refined aesthetics, choosing the right flooring solution is critical to balancing practicality with style. Whether it’s a bustling restaurant, a retail environment, or a busy office, the flooring needs to withstand constant wear and tear without compromising on appearance.

Collaborating with a flooring company surrey ensures access to a variety of high-performance materials designed specifically for commercial use, such as durable vinyl, engineered wood, and hybrid options that combine the best qualities of both. These expertly crafted solutions not only resist moisture, stains, and heavy foot traffic but also bring a polished, professional look that enhances the overall ambiance.

Investing in quality flooring tailored to commercial needs ultimately supports both the longevity of the space and the impression it leaves on clients and customers alike, making every step through the premises part of a seamless, well-considered experience.

The 2,400 square foot patio with seating for over 60, gives an oasis feel with clean, white stucco booths and a “Muchacho Grande” outdoor bar adorned with yellow and green tile will serve margaritas to those dining and drinking outside.
