“We live, work and have built our company in East Dallas, and Hari Mari is what it is today, in part, due to the incredible support we’ve had from such a special community,” Stewart says in a news release.

Hari Mari, which donates 1% of sales to help families cover the cost of pediatric cancer treatments, has a location on Haskell Avenue, and its flagship store is on Knox Street.

The theme for this year’s chamber event is “Flip Your Script: Finding Opportunity and Adventure Everywhere.”

Other speakers include City Council members and Steve Brown, the real estate editor for The Dallas Morning News.

The economic summit is scheduled for 8:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 18. at the Lakewood Country Club. Individual tickets start at $65 and can be purchased here. Sponsorships are available starting at $1,500.
