Dallas Police have made an arrest in connection with the hit-and-run incident that killed one woman in Casa View.
Two drivers were racing on Nov. 26 when one hit a 73-year-old pedestrian near the 10100 block of Ferguson Road. Both cars fled the scene.
Linda Pearson was walking her Maltese, Precious, when she was hit, the Dallas Morning News reported.
A Chevrolet Impala and a Chevrolet Camaro were involved in the street race. Police didn’t say which car the person they arrested is suspected of driving. The other driver has not yet been found.
Shashana Pearson-Hormillosa is Pearson’s daughter and said her mother was a devout Christian, beloved by her church community. She was also a caring grandmother, and her grandchildren have been struggling with her death.
