Neighbor have a chance to see an event that only comes around every 375 years on Monday, Aug. 21.  From 10:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m., a rare solar eclipse will be visible from Dallas, and the Arboretum will be hosting those who are curious about the celestial ceremony.

Minutes of Midnight will give guests a chance to take in the eclipse while having a picnic or enjoying $2 hot dogs, Kona Ice sno cones and oversized board games. Guests are advised to bring their own “viewing devices,” though there will be complementary viewing glasses while supplies last. Minutes to Midnight will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and admission is only $1, as it is for all of August.
