Geeks Who Drink’s Quiz For a Cause will be offering an opportunity to play bar trivia this Thursday, June 23 at The Elbow Room. The event is free, but all donations collected will benefit Equality Florida or a designated local LGBTQ organization. Quiz For a Cause helps support nonprofits through its donations. The event will start at 8 p.m.

Matt Tolentino and The Singapore Slingers will be performing this Sunday, June 26, at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre. The group will be performing classics starting at 2 p.m. Head on over at 12:30 p.m. for doors and lunch service. Reserve your seats by calling 214.821.1860. Saturday, June 25, is Sustainability Day at the Dallas Arboretum. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Farmer Tyler, Air North Texas and Coppell Solar Racing will be there to provide more information on how to live sustainably. The event will take place in the Rory Meyer Children’s Adventure Garden. Admission into the park provides as entrance to the events.
This Sunday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m., the Knife’s “Sunday Cinema Series” will be returning with a showing of “The Royal Tenenbaums.” In addition to the film, there will be gourmet snacks and local beers. Echo Theatre will be hosting a fundraiser this Saturday, June 25, from 7-10 p.m. at the Bath House Cultural Center. In addition to a concert by Denise Lee, there will be a live auction, raffles, paddle bidding wars and a “wine pull” where you try to pull a cork out of a bottle of wine. The event is free, but the activities vary in prices.
