The shop, 2nd Street, has stores in Oregon, California, New York and Pennsylvania. Another location is planned for Atlanta, Georgia. In Texas, 2nd Street has stores in Deep Ellum, Frisco and Cedar Park near Austin.

A storefront next to HG Sply Co. on Greenville Avenue has been branded with the company’s logo, though the location isn’t showing up yet on 2nd Street’s website. A certificate of occupancy for the store is pending.

This is the latest in a series of resale stores to make its way to Greenville Avenue.

One block away from the planned 2nd Street store, Crossroads Trading Co. is buying and selling on-trend men’s and women’s clothing and accessories in the former The Merchant spot. Like 2nd Street, Crossroads also has a store in Deep Ellum.

Further north on Greenville, Buffalo Exchange buys, sells and trades vintage finds, trendy pieces and designer and everyday items. Buffalo Exchange originated in Tucson, Arizona, in 1974.

Greenville Avenue is also home to America 70’s, which specializes in vintage and streetwear. Up until last spring, Jack Retro also had a store on Greenville.

2nd Street began in 1996 in Japan, where there are now over 700 locations. The company opened its first store in the United States in 2018. It offers vintage clothing, street wear, Japanese designer and luxury accessories for men and women, according to the company’s website.

We have asked 2nd Street about an expected opening date for the store at 2004 Greenville Ave. and will update when we receive a response.
