Sounds like Dallas-based Centric Capital Partners has pretty big plans for the old Snow Pea location, starting with a major overhaul of the building.
Centric recently bought the property from Kert Platner, who is also the owner of Times Ten Cellars. The remodel for the building started yesterday, Platner says. As he understands, Centric is considering “substantial” construction, including frontage windows, which are desperately needed for the dingy space.
And it sounds like Centric is already talking with potential renters.
“I have heard that Zoës Kitchen may be taking the space, but I can’t confirm that for sure,” Platner says.
Zoës Kitchen is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant chain that bases in Alabama but has a regional office and several restaurant locations in the Dallas area, including one on Lover’s Lane. We’ve heard their name floating around before, so they’ve probably been looking to come to Lakewood for a while.
*Update: Zoës Kitchen emailed to say, at this point, they cannot confirm a new location in Lakewood, but that they’ll let us know as soon as they know something.
