Of a commercial, that is. And not really the star — that would be longtime performer Tony Orlando of "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" fame, who since 1993 has called Branson, Mo., home and now performs regularly in the Osmond Family Theatre.

But you might get a chance to meet him — and in the process help raise $10,000 for Woodrow Wilson High School’s PTA — if you can volunteer as an extra in a NutriSystem commercial at the Lakewood Theater on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 4. The PTA needs to guarantee 150 volunteers (adult, not students) in order to make this money. In this week’s newsletter, PTA president Emily Martin promises that the $10,000 is free money — "not out of your pocket, you don’t have to sell anything or organize any auctions, you can relax and read, knit or chat between ‘takes’ (doesn’t that sound like a real actor?)."

(And yes, that’s Tony Orlando pictured with Flavor Flav, the recently Comedy Central roasted and longtime washed up hype man of the hip hop group Public Enemy who has made a unlikely comeback in recent years on reality TV, including a current series on VH1 called "Flavor of Love." Flav is part of the upcoming VH1 Christmas special Orlando is co-hosting with Larry the Cable Guy.)
