Chef Rene Peeters expects to open his new restaurant, World Piece Cafe, on Lower Greenville this week. Peeters, who owned Watel’s in Uptown for more than 20 years, closed that restaurant in April. He started planning World Piece and some other businesses soon after.
The new restaurant’s menu is inspired by Peeters’s world travels. He has lived in Southeast Asia, Central Africa and Europe. Peeters has put other announced projects on the back burner to focus on World Piece.
