You know the Granada Theater for its concerts, movies and community fundraisers, but soon it could be the place you also buy veggies and artisanal olive oil. Beginning this weekend on Sunday, Sept. 25, the theater will host a weekly famers market in its Lower Greenville parking lot every other Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The Granada is partnering with Promise of Peace, the local community garden run by Elizabeth Dry. Vendors will change each week at the market, beginning this weekend with everything from produce from Reeves Family Farm, treats from Sinful Baked Goods to skincare from Good Fox Co. In addition to shopping, you’ll also find live music and family activities.
Markets will take place through mid-December, scheduled for Oct. 2 and 16, Nov. 13 and 27, and Dec. 11 and 18. Get all the details on the market’s Facebook page. The theater is located at 3524 Greenville Ave.
