Lakewood Growler, which opened two years ago, is expanding with a new location in Preston Hollow that is set to open this December.
If Lakewood neighbors are looking for a change of pace but still crave a craft beer, they soon can fill their growlers at Bluffview Growler.
Lakewood Growler is expanding to Preston Hollow and has found a home for its younger sibling at the ground floor of the Elan at Bluffview Apartments, located at 3850 W. Northwest Highway. Bluffview Growler’s construction began Monday, and it is slated to open its doors in December, according to its Facebook Page.
What sets Bluffview Growler apart from its sibling Lakewood Growler is that it will offer bites and snacks, instead of the latter’s bring-your-own-food approach. Part of the reason for that is the location is in a mixed-use building, so at least 25 percent of its sales cannot be alcohol, according to CultureMap.
Lakewood Growler, which opened in 2014 near the Mockingbird and Abrams intersection, offers 36 craft beers from across Texas on tap, in addition to kombucha and root beer. Bluffview growler plans to offer the same amount of taps, with wine and soda, too, according to CultureMap. But much like the building, the full menu is still under construction.
