In the first of what will probably be many media stories about Woodrow this year, KERA talks about the school’s fledgling International Baccalaureate program on the first day of school. The radio report notes that 112 freshmen are enrolled in the program, which is pending approval — probably later this year — as DISD’s first IB school. About 24 of the students are new to Woodrow, applying from outside the school’s attendance zone to take advantage of the IB program.
