The UIL competition was held Feb. 18-19 at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas.

Senior Brock Riedel placed fifth to set a school record, the Woodrow Athletic Booster Club announced in a post.

Several other wrestlers competed over the weekend. Maya Alvarez, Nataly Torres and Max Cramer-Percox each advanced to the third round.

Coaches Jonathan Barger and Jorge Oropeza helped the students achieve a record number of wins this season.
