Woodrow Wilson High School’s volleyball teams are joining forces for their annual fundraiser at Glasgow Car Wash, Live Oak and LaVista, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11.
Funds raised help the volleyball team fund entry fees for tournaments not funded by DISD, pay for team equipment, help subsidize the cost of summer volleyball camp, and pay for other expenses associated with tournaments and games. Members of the freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams will be participating in the event.
We wrote about car wash owner Paul Wildberger in our July 2011 issue; he’s a neighborhood guy who often donates his facility to help neighborhood groups raise money.
