Woodrow Wilson High School’s spring musical this year is “Music Man” and will run Thursday through Sunday this weekend. This year’s show is in honor of longtime musical volunteer Vicki Thompson. Tickets range from $10-$18.

See the Bryan Adams Belles Spring Show Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. at the high school, as these dancers celebrate 60 years of Bryan Adams history.

Join in Dallas LitHop with a film and reading with Paul Bryan at the Bath House Cultural Center Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. The free event will show humorous short films exploring spiritual life.

The Dallas Arboretum continues the party with its Cool Thursday concerts this week. This Thursday, Turnstiles, a Billy Joel Tribute Band, will entertain Arboretum guests. Tickets range from $10 to $30. Arboretum guests can also take in Wind Sculptures in Motion, a display from artist Lyman Whitaker.

Lakehill Preparatory theater will perform “The Great All-American Musical Disaster” this weekend on Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Join the Friends of White Rock Lake at Ridgewood/Belcher Recreation Center on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon for “It’s My Park Day.” The volunteers will be beautifying the area, which sits in a Monarch flyway, with gardening and other services. Volunteers who are present for all three hours will receive a free Texas native plant, so bring work gloves and be ready to work.

The Lakewood Elementary benefit party is Saturday night at the Barley House. Enjoy a night of games and fun at Lakewood House Party, the annual auction party. Tickets are $75.

“Blue” opens this Saturday at the Dallas Children’s Theater and runs through May 6. The performance uses color to present a toddler-friendly story about accepting others and change. Tickets are $16.

Enjoy authentic New Orleans style food and drink at Sundown at the Granada on Sunday, with musical guests The Free Loaders performing a mix of jazz, blues, and swing, among others. Tickets for Bugs and Brews start at $10 for general admission.

The White Rock Lake Foundation is hosting its first ever Environmental Awareness Dinner at the Lakewood Country Club Thursday night, featuring Willis Winters, director of Dallas Park and Recreation Department and other speakers. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door.

Pre-Lee, the Early Childhood PTA from Robert E. Lee Elementary, will have its second annual color run this Saturday at 9 a.m., starting at the school at 2911 Delmar Ave. Tickets are $15 and include a t-shirt and other swag.
