It’s homecoming week in Lakewood. The sound of the Woodrow Wilson marching band gets you up just a little earlier each morning, and neighbors across town are breaking out their gray and red attire.
The fun starts at 5 p.m. Thursday with the homecoming parade and pep rally, featuring performances by the band, cheerleaders and Sweethearts. Enjoy the festivities while sipping a Woodrow Pride strawberry frappuccino from the Starbucks at 6312 La Vista Drive.

Be a good neighbor and sign up to help clean the area after parade passes. Trash bags and gloves will be provided.

Friday is the tailgate party before the football game against W.W. Samuell High School at 7:30 p.m. at Franklin Field. Buy your $10 tickets to the tailgate here.
Among students donning decorated mums, you may spot former students returning from college or alumni coming back for class reunions.
Stick around Saturday and celebrate Woodrow’s 90th birthday with tours of the new wing and the hall of fame induction ceremony.
