The varsity cross country teams at Woodrow didn’t disappoint at the DBU Orville Rogers meet.
Both the girls and boys ran the 5000-meter race Saturday at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. The boys junior varsity ran 5000 meters and won first, and the girls junior varsity ran 3000 meters.
On the girls team, all eight runners placed in the top 11, enabling the team to win first Saturday.
Here are the athletes and their times:

- 2nd: Hannah Medina, 22:25.4
- 3rd: Emma Petteway, 22:36.8
- 6th: Zoe Haeffner, 24:07.7
- 8th: Lillian Welch, 24:30.0
- 9th: Emma Deen, 24:33.3
- 10th: Alison Kouba, 24:44.6
The boys varsity also placed first. Here are the athletes and their times:
- 4th: Cuahtemoc Castro, 18:05.7
- 10th: Aviel Gasko, 19:06.8
- 13th: Nick Eldredge, 20:03.7
- 14th: William Wegener
Woodrow’s boys junior varsity received a perfect score of 15, with the top five runners taking the top five finishing positions. Here are the athletes and their times:
- 1st: Jake Seeburger, 20:31.1
- 2nd: Turner Johnson, 20:42.6
- 3rd: Leighton Bruscato, 20:49.7
- 4th: Marc Segura, 20:51.6
- 5th: James Hurt, 21:42.4
The girls junior varsity won runner-up. Here are the athletes and their times:

- 4th: Marisol Braun, 26:07.9
- 5th: Judith Manzanarez, 26:33.9
