On March 3, the Woodrow Wilson boys basketball team takes on Highland Park for the third time this season in the third round of the playoffs.
Is the third time a charm? You have to admit, it definitely seems like fate.
The Wildcats have come close to beating the Scots twice this year. Woodrow fell 63-54 at Highland Park in January and 52-45 at a home matchup in February.
But the team has been on a tear during the playoffs. It stunned South Oak Cliff, the No. 9 Class 5A team in the state, in the first round and then went on to beat Frisco Wakeland 70-51 on Friday.
“The Scots are rallying their community to attend, so we need to show them how we do things in East Dallas,” moderators said on a Facebook event page.
