Wonder Bar, a late-night establishment with locations in Austin and Houston, is coming to East Dallas.
The bar is taking over the former Jack & Ginger’s Irish Pub at the corner of Henderson Avenue and Fuqua Street. Jack & Ginger’s opened in 2020 in an 8,000-square-foot spot below 77 Degrees. Both bars were founded by Union Venture Group, and Wonder Bar is also a concept from the hospitality group.
So far, the exterior of the building has a fresh coat of paint, including a mural, and new tile. They also added a blue door facing Henderson. See below for a before and after.
Wonder Bar will open very soon, the business reported on its Facebook page. Construction is almost complete, and training has begun.
The interior will be just as colorful as the exterior, with a flower wall and disco balls installed throughout.
Food and drinks will be available. Starters include chips and queso, guacamole, buffalo wings, fried pickles and mini corn dogs. More substantial options are tacos, a burger and a chicken sandwich.
There’s a list of cocktails, all priced at $12. The menu has Wonder Bar’s takes on drinks like the old fashioned, ranch water and a margarita.
Wonder Bar is located at 2107 N. Henderson Ave.Â
