Update: Talked to Errick Thompson, who is overseeing the project for the city, and he reports that the new target date is Thursday. A combination of poor weather last week and asphalt problems — the plant won’t make any unless the forecast calls for two consecutive 60-degree days — prevented the work from being finished last week. And since the forecast is 60s to 70s through the end of this week, he is optimistic the work will be completed.
As Wamre noted on Friday, as I found out on Saturday, and as many of you undoubtedly noticed over the weekend, the Skillman re-paving work isn’t done yet. So much for the schedule, which said it would be finished last week.
I will contact the necessary people downtown to see if we have a new time table.
