Yesterday, the White Rock Lake Foundation announced the installation of new trail markers at White Rock Lake Park. These consists of key locations within the park, provide distances between various locations and offer other pertinent information.
The foundation parted with the Dallas Running Club to fund its trail markers and installed by the Dallas Park and Recreation Department.
“These trail markers are a wonderful addition to the amenities available at White Rock Lake and the timing, right before the holidays, adds an extra layer of joy to the partnership that helped to make this project a reality” White Rock Lake Foundation President Kathleen Foley said. “The markers will enhance the experience of visiting the park for regulars and newcomers alike.”
There are 11 new markers – four large signs and seven small signs – are being installed at points of interest around White Rock Lake, the largest urban lake in the United States.
Installation is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
