I had wondered what would happen to the new (and as far as I know, never occupied) WaMu bank on Greenville between Lovers and University, and when I drove by yesterday, all the signs had been covered, and a giant "For Lease" sign was on the corner.
The new WaMu bank building, which sits right across from a Bank of America branch, was built on the site after The Fare was bulldozed. It apparently was a casualty of Washington Mutual’s failure last September.
