Have you been wanting to plug in to your neighborhood school, but worry you don’t have the skills or time? Woodrow Wilson High School’s “Learning Matters” program offers an opportunity for neighbors to help make the connections between the opportunities provided in high school and careers, and they are looking for more volunteers.

On Feb. 10, adults from our neighborhood will walk into every classroom at Woodrow Wilson High School to talk to students about their career and professional journey. The volunteer speakers will come with a story of how learning matters during what could be a pivotal moment in the academic career these young learners. The whole process will take less than an hour, and a college degree is not necessary for participation as a speaker.
