Less than 48 hours until the fried-food festival we call the State Fair of Texas begins. It makes us all nostalgic and excited for cooler weather.
We came across this video footage of the fair from the Texas Archive of the Moving Image. It’s undated, but the men’s haircuts and the high-water pants with white socks tell us it’s from the mid ’60s.
The video doesn’t have sound, but it’s interesting to see what it was like back then.
