Monday afternoon, a mother and daughter were gunned down in what police are calling a domestic situation that took place in the 2700 block of Millmar Drive. Police say they have identified the suspect, a man known to both women, but have not taken him into custody or identified him.

NBCDFW.com is reporting that the two women, a mother and her adult daughter, lived with a man who asked them to leave his East Dallas home. An argument ensued, and the man’s grandson allegedly shot and killed the two women before fleeing the scene.

It was a bloody day in East Dallas. Earlier on Oct. 12, a man was fatally stabbed on the White Rock Creek Trail by a machete-wielding assailant, who police quickly caught. In an unrelated case minutes later, the body of 18-year-old Zoe Hastings, a Booker T. Washington graduate, was found in her van crashed into a creek. Police say she died of “homicidal violence.”
