Texas Representative Victoria Neave, who represents parts of East Dallas, has been one of the Democrat’s darlings in this heavily conservative state. Unfortunately for her, a DWI and a crash into a Lakewood tree might derail what looked like a promising political career.
The tree she hit now has its own Twitter account, @TreeAlbert – and is not happy about being the victim.
WFAA reported that no one was hurt. Albert Tree did not agree.
Well apparently I’m no one. #txlege https://t.co/yNUsDbZ634

Albert Tree took offense with some of Neave’s campaign promises as well.
On her site, @Victoria4Texas says she does not take shortcuts. That sure wasn’t the case last night! #txlege https://t.co/KOGFeVRu69 pic.twitter.com/RLpM5vm0gb

WFAA’s Jason Whitley broke the story when Neave was booked for DWI after hitting a tree at Abrams and La Vista.

Which ironically happened soon after Neave voted for a safe driving bill, banning texting in driving in Texas.

She had even sponsored a safe driving seminar.

She was full of emotion, but hadn’t forgotten her legal background right after the crash at La Vista and Abrams.

To her credit, she owned up and vowed to make things right.

But it could spell trouble, as she had a very small margin of victory.
HD 107 early vote: Victoria Neave 50.04%, Kenneth Sheets 49.96%. 29 votes separating. #txlege

She may have lost this tree’s vote.
