Donate stuffed toys and treats to the firefighters and police officers via the Lower Greenville Neighborhood Association.
Cops often keep gently used stuffed animals in their patrol cars to give to frightened children involved in domestic violence calls or car accidents, the neighborhood association says. The association is also taking homemade or purchased holiday treats to all three shifts of firefighters at Station 17 working just before the holidays.

Bring toys and treats to 5843 Vanderbilt between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22. That hopefully gives you plenty of time to go through toys in the house and think up what baked goods you can bring or buy.
Hypnotic Donuts also hosts a toy drive. Bring an unwrapped gift and you get a chance to win a cruiser bike. If you bring Legos, Barbie dolls or action figures, your name gets entered twice.
