Times Ten Cellars won the Jeb Hensarling Award for Business of the Year Tuesday at the Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce’s annual business awards luncheon at Lakewood Country Club. The Hensarling award is presented annually to the outstanding neighborhood business.

Other award winners include The Lot, which received the Entrepreneur of the Year award; John Cobb with Minuteman Press-East Dallas and Jesse Simmons with Jesse’s AC and Appliance Repair sharing the Chairman’s Award for their work in the community on behalf of the chamber; and White Rock Lake Weekly and White Rock Local Market sharing the Live Local East Dallas Award for their efforts to give back to the neighborhood.

Other awards finalists were Carol Hensley Photography, For the Love of the Lake, Lakehill Preparatory School and Ross Williams/Bell Nunnally.

The chamber’s annual Economic Summit meeting is scheduled Oct. 15 at Lakewood Country Club and will feature neighborhood city council representatives and a discussion of how the Wright Amendment’s expiration next year will impact aviation and airport travel in Dallas. Speakers include city aviation director Mark Deubner and DART president Gary Thomas. Tickets are $65 and available online, along with sponsorship opportunities, at the chamber’s website.
