The 13th annual Friends of Tietze Park shredding event and fundraiser isĀ from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Skillman Church of Christ parking lot, 3014 Skillman St.

The drive-thru event will allow neighbors to shred items like paper, manila folders, floppy discs and reports with plastic binders. No metal binder clips are allowed.

Each box or bag should be labeled “shred” and placed in one area of the vehicle. Unlock the doors or pop the trunk, and a masked volunteer will remove the material. Pay the volunteer with cash or check made payable to FOTP.

It is $8 for the first 30 pounds of shredding. Additional 30-pound boxes or bags are $5 each. Adults 65 and older can shred for $5.

Ten percent of proceeds benefit Skillman Church of Christ.
